Summarizing Persian text with AI
A good summary is shorter but keeps decisions, numbers, and names. The common failure is asking "summarize this" without saying who reads it and what decision it supports.
1. Define the job
A summary for a decision is different from a summary for awareness. State the reader, the action, and the must-keep facts (dates, amounts, commitments).
2. Prompt template
Summarize the text for a manager. Goal: decide whether to renew the contract. Must keep: amount, renewal date, main risks. Output: five short bullets + one recommendation sentence. Do not add facts; if a number is absent, write "not stated".
3. Structure first
Ask for the bullet list first, then prose. This prevents silently dropping key points.
4. Common failures
- A summary with no numbers.
- Mixing the model's opinion with the source.
- Ignoring negations ("will not renew") that reverse the meaning.
